Ingredients:
1. Finely chopped dates 1 cup
2. Jackfruit preserve (Chakka varatti using jaggery) 1/2 cup
3. Grated coconut 1/2 cup
4. Coconut milk 4 cup ( 1 cup should be thick)
5. Dates honey syrup 2 cup
6. Sugar 1cup
7. Grinded almond, cashew nut 1 tbsp
8. Cardamom powder 1/4 spoon
9.Chowari 1tbsp
10.Cashew, almond, raisins for garnishing
11.Ghee as required
Method:
1. Grind the dates, jackfruit preserve and grated coconut into a smooth paste ( without water).
2. From the above paste make small fusion balls, and keep aside
3. In a mixer, mix date honey syrup, sugar and 3 cups of coconut milk
4. Heat this mixture in low flame
5. Add fusion balls into this mixture and stir slowly.
6. Then add grinded cashew, almonds and the remaining coconut milk ( thick milk) to it.
7. To the above mixture add cooked chowari and stir well ( till payasam consistency)
8. Then garnish with cardomom powder, fried ( in ghee) cashew and raisins
