A trip to Jaisalmer is in incomplete without a visit to Kuldhara. The haunted village can give you daytime nightmares. Two centuries ago, eighty-four villages fled in one night as they didn't like the idea of the village chief's daughter's marriage to the lecherous prime minister of Jaisalmer. No one knows where they went. It is also cursed to remain abandoned forever. We asked many people about ghosts, as it was a topic of great interest. Many said there is nothing like ghosts there, some said it's just negative energy, while others said that they have heard noises or seen shadows at night. But in the day time there is nothing seen or heard other than the remains of the old village.
