Rules & Regulations

  • Last date for registration is 12th November 2019
  • Registration should be done by schools.
  • Principal or school head or the persons authorized by them have to register.
  • Students from class 9 to 12 of any schools in Kerala can participate.
  • Competition will be for teams of 2 students. 2 teams from each school are eligible to participate.
  • The school can nominate two teams of two students each.
  • If a school has separate streams for state, CBSE and ICSE syllabuses, each section can send separate students.
  • The nominated teams from each school goes for the district level competitions.
  • The district quiz will consist of three stages.
  • There will be a written elimination round whereby the Top 2 teams go directly into the final. The written preliminary will have internal tie breaker system to decide the rankings and selection to finals and semifinals.
  • The next 12 ranked teams will compete in 2 semifinals each. From each semifinal we will select 2 teams for the grand finals.
  • The grand finale will thus have 6 teams. Top 2 from written round and top 2 from both the semifinals.
  • Students who have parents working in Malayala Manorama, Saintgits or the associated agencies are not eligible to apply.
  • Big Q Challenge – Season 1 state level winners (First, Second and Third) are not eligible to participate in Season 2.
