Making of the World Cup Trophy

A three-dimensional sketch of the cup would be drawn using pencils. Each part which would be plated with different metal contents would be given different colours. The cup depicts a golden globe held up by two triumphant athletes

A model of the trophy is created with gypsum-based metal.Waxing

The winners are awarded a gold-plated replica which they get to keep as a permanent reminder of their success. The original trophy remains in FIFA’s possession.
