It’s all in your head

Talk about your feelings

Communication is important, be it with a friend, family member or counsellor. Opening up about your feelings can help you stay in good mental health. Look at it as part of taking charge of your wellbeing.

Manage stress

Stress is part of normal life. Chronic stress not only affects blood pressure and heart rate but also messes with your mental health. Identifying stress-inducing factors in your lifestyle is the primary step towards good mental health.

Engage in an activity you enjoy

Enjoying an activity, probably, means you are good at it. Achieving something boosts your self-esteem, and, in turn, helps you beat stress.

Exercise the body

Studies reveal that physical activity releases chemicals called endorphins in your brain that make you feel good. Working out can benefit mental health, relationships, and lead to a healthier and happier life.

Eat a healthy diet

Our brain needs a well-balanced diet with an adequate intake of Omega-3 fatty acids, essential amino acids, B-group vitamins (B12 and folate), vitamin D and minerals like zinc, magnesium and iron.
